Make Room For What You Want
Comedian Steve Harvey tells the story of an old car he had sitting on cinder blocks. He kept telling his mom that one day he was going to buy a new car. Every time she would reply “I know baby, but you still got that old car out there.”
He finally asked her why she kept telling him he had his old car sitting outside. She asked him where he planned to put the new car if his old car was still sitting there.
She explained that he needed to make room for the things he wants. He had the old car hauled away and two weeks later he had his new car. Where in your life can you make room for what you want?
Speak It Into Existence
Another powerful way for manifesting what you want is to use positive words that express your wishes. If your goal is to move into a new home, you can use statements such as, “My dream home is now being brought into my life for the best will and good of all.” By saying, “the best will and good of all” you are including the sellers and the people who will live in your home, and so on.
The words you speak are very powerful. They are either attracting what you want or pushing it away. Sometimes I hear single women say, “With my luck he won’t be interested in me.” “He probably has a girlfriend.” They make these statements without knowing anything about the other person.
They start out by not giving the situation a chance. Each time you use such words, it is as if each is a brick that builds a wall that blocks your desires from coming into your life.
Superstar Alicia Keys shared that she often used phrases such as “Well, with my luck…”, “We’re never going to…” until one day her writing partner, Krucial, made her aware of how powerful her words are. “If you think that’s how something is going to be, then that’s how it’s going to be,” he explained. Remember, your thoughts and words create your reality.
