Healing For Mind Body Spirit
What Are Chakras?
Chakras are energy centers or swirling wheels of energy throughout the body. There are seven main chakras that run along your body starting from the base of the spine (root chakra) to directly above your head (crown chakra). Each main chakra correlates to major organs, nerve centers in the body, and our emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being.
The Importance of Balancing Chakras
Chakras can become imbalanced (blocked, underactive or overactive) resulting in a disruption of the vital energy that is flowing into us from the universe. This can result in disharmony within us and can manifest in the form of physical illness. For example, if your throat chakra is imbalanced you may experience thyroid problems, sore throat, ear infections, gum problems or headaches, to name a few symptoms.
You may not always experience physical symptoms when chakras are imbalanced which is why it is important to balance your chakras occasionally. It is like having a regular dental cleaning to maintain healthy teeth.
